Eddie Roy Judkins, 80,  of Smithville passed away Monday June 13, 2022 at his residence in Smithville. 

 

He was retired from the DeKalb County Central Office and a member of the Keltonburg Methodist Church. 

 

Mr. Judkins was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Nodie Young Judkins; his wife, Allie Edith Fults Judkins; a daughter, Angela Judkins; four Brothers and one Sister-in-law, Carlton and Irene Judkins, Cooper Judkins, David Judkins, and Mack Judkins; three Sisters and one Brother-in-law, Ravanell and Ferman Culwell, Corina Young, and Clara Judkins. 

 

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise (Ronald) Merriman of Smithville, Mary (Kirk) Winter of Dowelltown, and Sherry (Donnie) Stanley of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Cooper Stanley of McMinnville, Kelly (Ryan) Huling of Smithville, and Lorrie Merriman (Justin) of Smithville; two great grandchildren, Maddie Huling of Smithville, and Zachary Huling of Smithville; one beloved sister-in-law Janice Judkins of Smithville; cousin and special friend Frank Judkins of Smithville. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

 

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with internment following at DeKalb Cemetery.  Bro. David Hill officiated.

 

Pallbearers included Bryan Judkins, Justin Knowles, Carl Knowles, Donnie Johnson, Kirk Winter, Daniel Kincer  and Richard Bullard. Honorary pallbearers were Cooper Stanley and Darrell Judkins.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
