Young

A graveside service for Edith L.V. Young, age 95, of Smithville was held January 28, 2018 at Jefferson Cemetery. Dennis Wood officiated.

Edith passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at NHC in Smithville. She was a member of the Mt. View Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Amerce Young; parents, Ollie Monroe Barnes and Sarah Della Barnes Redmon; step-father, Thomas Redmon; two sisters, Irene Barnes and Martha Ann Foster; brother, Alvie Barnes; and three infants, Wilma Dean, Arlie Edward and James Allan.

Survivors include three children, Talmadge and Bobbie Young of Smithville, Judie and John Green of Walling, and Anthony and Patricia Young of Smithville. Granddaughter, Jayrah and Wade Humphrey of Walling. Great grandchildren, McKennah and Bo Humphrey.

Serving as pallbearers were Johnny Adcock, Kenny Adcock, Eugene Adkins, Bill Daughtery, Tallas Cantrell and Shannon Pirtle

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
