This lovely Christian woman, Edna Nadine Jones McCombs Evans, took her walk with Jesus on Feb. 7.She was currently an active member of the Sparta Church of the Nazarene. She was a previous member of the Smithville Church of the Nazarene when her husband was pastor. She was a quilter, retired cashier and bank teller for many years.She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Laura Jones; husband, Maurice Evans; and step-son, Ronald Evans.She is survived by her six children; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.Family and friends received visitors to rejoice in her life and our memories on the morning of Feb. 11 and then services were held at the Sparta Church of the Nazarene on Smithville Highway with burial to following in Arlington Cemetery in Putnam County.Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNFebruary 8, 2012
