Edward Joseph Guerin, Jr., age 76, of the Wolf Creek Community of DeKalb County, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at his residence. 

 He was born January 4, 1946, in New York.  He was a member of the Wolf Creek Missionary Baptist Church, a former Firefighter, handyman and a U.S. Army Veteran. 

 Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward Guerin, Sr. and a sister, Patricia Struller. 

 He is survived by son, Justin Edward Sherrell of Cookeville and a sister, Kathleen (Bob) Patch of New Hampshire. 

 The family has chosen a direct cremation. 

 Graveside Memorial Service with Military Honors was held Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Mt. Holly Cemetery. 

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, is in charge of the arrangements.
