E.J. Atnip, 75, of Silver Point died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at St.Thomas West Nashville. He was retired from Colonial Bread Company.

 

The funeral was held Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bernard Houk officiated with burial following in Mt. Holly Cemetery.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Charlie May Braswell Atnip; a son, Terry Atnip; and a brother, Billy Atnip.

 

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Curtis Atnip of Silver Point; three sons, Gary Atnip of Silver Point, Jeff and Tara Atnip of Murfreesboro, and Timothy Atnip of Smithville; one step-son, Tommy Williams of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Fay Cantrell, Ella Moore, and Beverly Doreta Crips, all of Smithville, one brother, Lamar Redmon of Smithville. Uncle Arvil Atnip of Smithville and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive

 

Pallbearers included Melvin Crips, Jr., Anthony Dodson, Caleb Miller, Cameron Rhea, Michael Atnip, and Timothy Atnip.

 

 

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, TN was in charge of the arrangements.
