Funeral services for Eldred Lawrence Fish, 92, of Smithville were held March 26 at Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.Bro. Donnie Kelly and Bro. Jeff Armstrong officiated, with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.He passed away March 24 at DeKalb Community Hospital.He served as Mayor of Dowelltown from 1976-1989, retired from Tennessee Department of Transportation, and was a member of Smithville Church of God.He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ina Payne Fish; brother, Will Fish; sister-in-law, Louye Self; brother-in-law, Auburn Nixon.He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbye Nixon Fish of Smithville; one son, Greg and wife Sissy Fish of Dowelltown; two daughters, Brenda and husband John Inglis, Linda and husband Jimmy Keith both of Smithville; five grandchildren, Tia Inglis,Brandon Keith, Andrew and wife Andria Keith and Nicholas Keith all of Smithville; two sisters-in-law, Bobbye Ruth Fish and Helen Nixon both of Smithville; one brother-in-law, J.C. Self of Goodletsville; several nieces and nephews also survive; caregivers, Becky Gesegnet, Elaine Cowart, Leslie Emme and Tia Inglis.Pallbearers included; Brandon, Andrew andNicholas Keith, Dalton Fish, Jordan and Dillan Reeder, and Branden Givens, Honorary pallbearers, Tim Stribling, Ronnie Garrison, Tony Nixon, J.D.
