Ella Frances Howse, 79, of Murfreesboro, passed away on May 7 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was a native of Smithville but lived in Rutherford County most of her life. Ella loved her animals, fishing, gardening and sewing. She was a member of the Apostolic Ark Church and a homemaker.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ada Spurlock Bain. She is survived by her husband, George Franklin Howse of Murfreesboro; daughters, Ada Frances Fleming of Murfreesboro, Judy Fleming of Murfreesboro, Diane (Forrest) Walker of Murfreesboro and Georgie (James) Carr of Decherd; grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon, Lisa, Tracie, Randy, Terry, Christy, Jennifer, Tyler and Fallon; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A chapel service will be held at 3 p.m. on May 10 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Buford Bain and Jerry Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Kevin Elrod, Keith Davis, Cary Henderson, Cary Fogle, Troy Oakley and Brent Fogle serving as active pallbearers.
