Funeral services for Ella May Jones, 98, of Smithville were held Nov. 11 at the High Funeral Home Chapel. Bros. Larry Briggs and Donnie Kelly officiated with burial following at Keltonburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones passed away Nov. 9 at DeKalb County Community Hospital due to a short illness. She was a homemaker and was a member of Smithville First Assembly of God.
She was a dedicated Christian, active in church and community, involved with the American Red Cross and was an election poll volunteer.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Mary Etta Redmon Delong; husband William Arthur Jones; and sisters Maude Wall, Goldie Whitley and Jackie Williams.
Survivors include her nephews Freddie, Joel, Doyle and J.F. Williamson, Woody and Royce Davenport, David Williams, Ronnie Whitley and Thwaitt and Jack Wall; and nieces Janice Maynard, Alvida Woody, Bobbie Harrison, Melba Pedigo, Ann Webb and Lynn Cantrell.
High Funeral Home, McMinnville,  was in charge of the arrangements.
