Elmer Dean Wallace passed away on Dec. 27 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Dean was a member of the Church of Christ and worked at Clark Metal and Iron. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Porter Tillman Wallace and Roxie Riller Wallace. He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Wallace, son, Philip Dean (Melissa) Wallace, step-sons; Jerry King Banks, Mack Edward Banks, Jack Edwin Banks, and John Edward Banks, step-daughter, Judy Banks Pugh and three grandchildren; Emily Elizabeth, Harper Lee and William Alton Wallace.
A chapel service was held Dec. 31 at Jennings & Ayers with John Tipton officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
