Funeral services for Elsie Hendrixson, 100, of Smithville, were held June 5 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Terry Fessler and Bro. Mike Carpenter officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.   
Mrs. Hendrixson passed away June 3 at NHC Smithville. She was a homemaker, factory worker and was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church since 1923. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Riley and Dollie Elizabeth Cripps Page; husband, Shelton “Shag” Hendrixson; her three-year-old son, Kenneth Hendrixson; a great-grandson, Chris Webb; a sister, Freeda Estes; two sons-in-law, W.J. “Wise Owl” Hendrixson and H.D. “Tootsie” Cook; and a daughter-in-law, Ezzie Lee Hutching Hendrixson.
Survivors include her son, T.J. Hendrixson; three daughters, Geraldine Cook, Clarene Hendrixson and Yvonne (Douglas) Bonner, all of Smithville; six grandchildren, Jackie (Larry) Webb, Jimmy (Virgie) Hendrixson, Jane (Batthew) Brown, all of Smithville, Ann Hildreth of Warren County, Mike (Melody) Hendrixson of Florida and Cathy (Bob) Culver of Michigan; two step-grandchildren, Gloria (Steve) Corbin of Lynchburg and Mike (Sandy) Cook of Tullahoma; a sister-in-law, Jimmie Mullican of Smithville; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Corbin and Hayden Hildreth, Larry Webb, Brad Webb, Michael Hendrixson, Steve Corbin, Douglas Bonner and Jimmy Hendrixson.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
