Funeral services for Ernest Ray Satterfield, 72, of Smithville, were held Sept. 24 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Steve Breedlove officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Satterfield passed away Sept. 22 at DeKalb Community Hospital ER. He was a member and elder at New Beginnings Worship Center, in the U.S. Navy and was a truck driver for Parman Energy.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hulon and Kattie Dillaha Satterfield; son Scott Dewayne Satterfield; grandson Matthew Ryan White; and daughter-in-law Trena Satterfield.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Satterfield; children Beth (Wade) White of Hendersonville, Teresa (Jay) Harper of Cross Plains, Terry (Rebecca) Satterfield, Mike Satterfield, Josh (Regina) Satterfield and Jason (Ashley) Satterfield, all of Smithville; grandchildren Amanda and Jeremy White, Cody and Tiffany Satterfield, Ashley Evans, Christy Herd, Chris Troutt, Jacob Harper, Laradon and Destry Wiggins; great-grandchildren Mickey Jr. and Christian Guinn, Lily, Caitlin, Jarrod, Zoie and Alexis Herd, Sheridan and Mikayla Troutt, Caleb and Caley Taylor; sister Nancy Rowlette of Murfreesboro; special niece and daughter Debra Boner; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Josh Satterfield, Johnny Evans, Jeff Herd, Cody Satterfield, Mickey Guinn Jr., Jay Harper and Bud Bogle.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jacob Harper, Caleb Taylor, Laradon Wiggins, Christian Guinn and Brey Cook.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
