Funeral services for Essie Mae Patterson, 78, were held April 27 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dwayne Cornelius and Bro. Michael Hale officiated, with burial following at DeKalb Cemetery.
She passed away April 22 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville.
She was the daughter of the late William and Eva Roberts Casey.
She was retired from housekeeping at Harbor Hills Golf Course and was a Baptist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Patterson; sister, Eva Sue Kavanaugh.
Survivors include seven children, Lee Taulbee of Kentucky, Danny Taulbee of North Carolina, Connie Byrd and Bonnie Drake, both of Kentucky, Lisa Taulbee of Maine, Sharon Greer and Karen Stanfill both of Smithville; one brother, Sonny Casey of Ohio; one sister, Bonnie Seedle of Kentucky; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers included; Tim Watts, T.J. Watts, Billy Taulbee, Leon Drake, Danny Taulbee, and Steve Kavanaugh.
Dekalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
