Funeral services for Ethel “Dean” Trapp, 91, of Smithville were held April 10 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Dan Gulley officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Trapp passed away April 8 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville. She was a homemaker and affiliated with Smithville Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents Festus Dewitt and Eddye May Terry Stoots; husband James Fantly “Pig” Trapp; a brother William Stoots; and a half-sister Ruth Redwood.
Survivors include her son Terry (Nancy) Trapp of Smithville; a granddaughter Hayley (Jonathan) Culwell of Smithville; two great-grandchildren Noah and Hannah Culwell; special friend Maxine Trapp of Smithville; special nephew Dan Stoots of Smithville; and a cousin Don Terry of McMinnville.
Pallbearers included Rick Stewart, Dan Stoots, Jonathan Culwell, Don Terry, Don Williams, Bill Cameron and Colt Stewart.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
