A private funeral service for Eulain “Poley” Shelton, age 73, of Smithville was held Jan. 2 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. A private burial followed.
Poley passed away Friday Dec. 29 at his residence.
He was a body shop worker and a carpenter.
He was born Oct. 8, 1944 to his parents, Walter F. and Ora Bramlett Shelton.
In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Hubble and Mikey Shelton;and two sisters, Louise Clark and Nina Chapman.
He is survived by his daughter, Renea (Carl) Lattimore of Liberty; two grandchildren, Dustin Lattimore and Mandee (Brandon) Dyer, both of Liberty; one great-grandson, Fisher Dyer of Liberty; three sisters, Aundra Hale and Elizabeth Frazier both of Alexandria and Angela Clabough of Polk County; two brothers, Curtis Shelton of Alexandria and Jeff Shelton of Smithville; and several nieces and nephew.
Serving as pallbearers were Carl Lattimore, Dustin Lattimore, Ronnie Lattimore, Jerry Montgomery, Shane Frazier, and Jerome Hale.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
