Ms. Faye Hill Hendrix, age 81, of Gallatin formerly of Smithville, passed away on Thursday night, September 5, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church and retired from the DeKalb Co. Board of Education as a vocational secretary.
She was born on July 5, 1943 in Smithville to her parents, the late Jack and Eva Hill. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald Hill; and one nephew, Kyle Hill.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie (Stan) Hardaway of Gallatin; son, Dustin (Tanetta) Hendrix of Walling; grandchild, Caitlin (Cris) Bird of Gallatin; great-grandchild, Jude "Ju Ju" Bird of Gallatin; two step-grandchildren, Blake Hardaway and Brett (Lexie) Hardaway all of Hendersonville; three step great-grandchildren; one sister, Polly Hill of Smithville; one brother, Wayne (Vivian) Hill of Smithville; sister-in-law, Brenda Hill Stewart of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Larry Steffee officiated and burial followed in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Mike Bain, Chris Bird, Phillip Hendrixson, Barry Hendrixson, Terry Hendrixson, Drew Pedigo, and Alex Pedigo.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
