Flonnie Caldwell Vanatta, 79, of Smithville died Monday at Saint Thomas West.

 

She was a member of the Banks Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired factory worker at Genesco.

 

The funeral was held Wednesday at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Bernard Houk officiated with burial following in the Banks Cemetery.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lena Ferrell Caldwell; her husband, George Vanatta; daughter, Helen Caldwell; six brothers, J.W., Norman, Bruse, Raymond, Wade, and Lonnie Caldwell; and three sisters, Nannie Mae Hale, Lois Moon, and Dorothy Miller.

 

Survivors include a daughter, Melinda and Dewayne Davis of Smithville. Six grandchildren, Buddy and Mindy Vanatta of Woodbury, Jackie Avalos, Violet and Brandon Tucker, Johnna Maynard, Loni Easterwood all of Smithville and Sean Davis of Kentucky. Seven great grandchildren, Jon David Vanatta of Morrison, Daniel Avalos, Kaden, Amalee McPherson, Matthew Orcutt Jr., and Delana and Ella Tucker all of Smithville. One Brother, Zeb Caldwell of Smithville and several nieces, nephews, and church family.

 

In addition to flowers, donations can be made to Banks Cemetery where she served on the committee for several years.

 

 

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
