Funeral service for Floyd Earl Cantrell, age 74, of Smithville was held January 5, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Bobby Thomason officiated.
Floyd passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2 at his residence. He was a carpenter and a Primitive Baptist.
He was born Nov. 15, 1944 to his parents, the late Hamp and Effie Pack Cantrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Hamp Cantrell, Jr., James “Lucky” Cantrell and Ray Donald Cantrell; and two sisters, Mildred Green and Dorothy Hutchins.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Cantrell of Smithville; four children, Randal (Kandy) Cantrell of Smithville, Carlos Godsey of McMinnville, Debbie Murphy of Knoxville and Harley Godsey of Smithville; two grandchildren, Mykel Cantrell and Kaycee Rossa both of Manchester; two great-grandchildren, Breyden Rossa and August Cantrell; two sisters, Ruth Tabor of Crossville and Betty Norris of Liberty; two brothers, Buster (Brenda) Cantrell of Woodbury and Larry (Anita) Cantrell of Watertown; three sisters-in-law, Debbie Suarez of Dowelltown, Cindy (Vick) Loden of Rockwood and Dorothy VanPatten of New York; and several nieces.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
