Funeral services for Frances Haggard, 70, of Smithville were held April 11 at Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church. Bro. Bernard Houk officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. 
Ms. Haggard passed away April 7 at her residence. She was a retired cook from Smithville Elementary School Cafeteria and a member at Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lennell Haggard; parents, Dallas and Marthann Ford Montgomery; brother, Roger Montgomery; and sister, Edith Maxwell.
Survivors include her son, David and Vicki Haggard; two daughters, Tina and Melvin Crips and Virginia Haggard; four grandchildren, Ryan and Katie Haggard and Caelin and Landon Crips; four brothers, James, Roy, Harlan and Jeff Montgomery, and five sisters, Modena Bray, Olean Mahan, Kathleen Podgorski, Nancy Goff and Connie Montgomery.
Pallbearers included Ryan Haggard, Caelin, Landon and Melvin Crips, Earlie Bain and John Wright.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
