Frances (Hoppy) Hayes, 87, of Smithville passed away Monday, June 27 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hayes were held Tuesday, June 28 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Al Gooch officiated, with burial following in Whorton Springs Cemetery.

 

She was a Baptist, and a machine operator at Smithville Shirt Factory.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Jane Fuson Hayes; three brothers, Alton, J.C. and Kenneth Hayes; two sisters, Irene Hayes and Nannie Mae.

 

She is survived by two brothers, Harry and Toy Hayes of Smithville; 11 nieces and nephews, Gena and Scott Cripps of Smithville, Aaron and Julie Hayes of Smithville, Candace Hayes of McMinnville, James and Kerrie Hayes of McMinnville, Modena and Kenny Johnson of Smithville, Pati and Al Gooch of Lebanon, Brenda Trimble of Hermitage, Linda Lane of Nashville, Rose Drake of Murfreesboro, Kim and Dale Numley of McMinnville, and Tracie Dunn of McMinnville; several great nieces and nephews and one get-great-nephew also survives.

 

Pallbearers included; Scott Cripps, Tyree Cripps, James Hayes, Junior Gribble, Chad Gribble, and Aaron Hayes.

 

 

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
