Gary Lee Lautzenhsieser, 66

Mr. Gary Lee Lautzenheiser, 66, of Sparta, lost his battle with cancer on July 8. He was born in Canton, Ohio to Ralph E. and Betty (McKeen) Lautzenheiser.
Mr. Lautzenheiser graduated from Louisville High School in 1962, worked on the family dairy farm until 1964, then was employed at the Ohio Power Company (AEP0 Canton, Ohio, for the next 32 years as a lineman. He retired in 2000 and was employed part-time by Constitution Land Surveying of Louisville, Ohio.
He resided in Louisville till 2008, then moved to Sparta. He enjoyed farming and hunting throughourt the United States, plus several trips to Africa.
Mr. Lautzenheiser is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Kiko) Lautzenheiser of Sparta; parents, Betty (McKeen) and Ralph E. Lautzenheiser of Louisville, Ohio; five children, Tonya and Michael Heckendorn of Goose Creek, S.C., Brian and Jennifer Lautzenheiser of Warner Robins, Ga., Mark Lautzenheiser of Sparta, Samuel and Whitney Lautzenheiser of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Dawn Lautzenheiser of Sparta; sister, Barbara and Rick Kidwell of Findlay, Ohio; brother, Dale and Debbie Lautzenheiser of Louisville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Derek, Samantha, Dillon, Payton, Heath and twins, Lila and Jackson.
Memorial services were held at the Lautzenheiser home in Sparta on July 19.
Oak Lawn Funeral Home, Sparta, was in charge of the arrangements.
