Funeral services, for George Elmer LeFevre, 79, of Smithville were held July 29 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Al Mahan officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  
Mr. LeFevre passed away July 26  at NHC Healthcare Center. He attended Faith Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army in Korea and 38 years in the National Guard, served as Jury Foreman for many years, was a Mason, served as delegate to two state constitutional conventions, taught Sunday school, and bible study. He was a retired lawyer, former Assistant D.A., Public Defender and Federal Prosecutor.   
He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas Elmer “Bud” and Louisa LeFevre Pedigo; step-father, John Pedigo; sister, Virginia Gilbert; brother, James B. LeFevre.
Mr. LeFevre was survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary LeFevre of Smithville; six children, Georgia Knott of Smithville, Vicki LeFevre of Huntsville, Ala., Lisa (Joe) Sokol of Alexandria, Va., James (Whitney) LeFevre of Kevil, Ky., Robert LeFevre of Nashville, Jennifer LeFevre of Sparta; four grandchildren, Josh Adcock of Cookeville, Hayden LeFevre, Mason LeFevre, and Emma Grace LeFevre all of Kevil, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Brady and Riley Adcock; two nephews, George and Buddy Gilbert; and one niece, Sharon Flannery.
Pallbearers included Buddy Gilbert, George Gilbert, Aaron Gilbert, Craig LeFevre, Phillip Byford, and Robert Oaks.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, LLC, was in charge of the arrangements.
