Funeral services For Ruby Pauline Gerard, 82, of Smithville were held Dec. 17 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Jonathon Willoughby and Bro. Robert Page officiated. Burial followed in Whorton Springs Cemetery.

 

She passed away Dec. 14 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

 

She was a Baptist and a Homemaker.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Classie and Flossie Bain Linder; husbands, Donald Keith and Robert Gerard; one son, Ronnie Keith; two brothers, J.C. and Joe Linder; one sister, Martha Caldwell.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Pauline Taylor of Smithville, and Mary Snyder of Smithville; three step-children; five grandchildren, Ceylon and Cynthia Taylor of Dowelltown, April Lewis, Micheal Synders, and Corey Snyders all of Smithville; 7 great-grandchildren, Devin Snyders, Samantha Golden, Jesse and Lane VanDyne all of Smithville, Brian and Bradley Pack of Dowelltown, and Austin Lewis of Smithville; one great-great- grandchild, Karsyn Hacker of Smithville; one sister, Helen (Rudy) Holler of LaFayette; eight brothers, Norman (Jennie) Linder of LaFayette, Wayne (Vickie) Linder of Hartsville, Larry (Jean) Linder of Rock Island, Bobby (Peggy) Linder of Smithville, Buford Linder of Smithville, Bill (Ruth) Linder of Indiana, and Carl Linder of Indiana.

 

Pallbearers included; Jesse, Lane, and Todd VanDyne, Bobby Dale Linder, Brian Pack, and Roger Linder.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
