Glenda Grissim Watson, age 55, of Petersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Smithville on October 5, 1965.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her grandparents, Virgie Grissim, Alfred Grissim, Della (Charles) Poston, and Arnel Murphy; aunt, Minnie Poss; and uncles, William Murphy and Earnest Murphy, all of Smithville.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Watson of Petersburg; three daughters: Gwendolyn Ponder of Smithville, Devin (Josh) Wahlmeier of Flintville, TN and Ashley May of Flintville, TN; one son, Chris (Julie) Ponder of Smithville; father, Wayne (Cathy) Grissim of Coldwater, MI; mother, Frances (George) Fincher of McMinnville; two sisters: Sonia (Darryl) Talley of Smyrna and Gina (Jerry) Moss of Smyrna; one brother, Wayne (Su) Grissim, Jr. of South Korea; one step-brother, George Fincher, Jr. of Beersheba Springs, TN; 14 grandchildren, Haley and Hope Hendrixson, Madison, Brooklyn, Ricky, Gracelynn, Jace and Brinson Ponder, Ellie Moss, Hayden Feltman, Matthew, Aaliyah and Joshua Jr. Wahlmeier, and Peyton May; aunts and uncles: Dimple (Charlie) Blanchfield of Smithville, , Donna (Mike) Hewell of Smithville, Darlene (David) Griffith of Gassaway and Denise Redmon of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Ann Watson; nieces, Donann (Shane) Profitt of Florida, Zara Melton of Smithville, Adrianna (Makayla) Moss-Shawver, Murfreesboro, Lauren (Grant) Winfree of Alabama, and Maddie Moss of Knoxville; nephews, A.J. Jenkins of Smyrna, Dillon (Rachel) Melton of Liberty and Mason Moss of Smyrna.
Funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Bro. Wilburn Carter officiating. Burial followed in Prospect Cemetery.
Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge of the arrangements.
