Funeral services for Glynn Aron Cantrell, 79, of Smithville were held Jan. 18 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following at Young Bend Cemetery.
Mr. Cantrell passed away Jan. 16 at his residence. He was an U.S. Army veteran, a self-employed brick mason and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents Zollie and Viola Adcock Cantrell; wife Ruth Ann Cantrell; brothers Gentry Edward, John Thomas, Ernest Clifton and Virgie Seborn Cantrell; and a sister Jackie Gay.
Survivors include his two daughters Beth (Valter) Vandergriff and Glenda (Kerry) Davis, both of Smithville; four grandchildren Justin and Daniel Vandergriff and Lance and Leah Davis; three sisters Lillian (Brownie) Tittsworth of Smithville, Lois (J.E.) Gay and Judy (Ronnie) Cantrell, all of McMinnville; brother Dale Cantrell of Knoxville; sister-in-law Mary Clark of East Lake, Ohio; 25 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Jeff Cantrell, Robbie Cantrell, Clifton Cantrell Jr., Bradley Johnson, Harvey Cantrell, Dana Cantrell and Chris Cantrell.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville,  was in charge of the arrangements.
