Funeral services for G.W. (Buddy) Judkins, 87,  of Smithvillewas held May 4 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Fabron Nicholson and Bro. Billy Hale officiated, with burial following in Mt. Holly Cemetery.
He passed away May 1 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
He was born August 2, 1926 to his parents, to the late Grady Wilson and Lillie Dale Judkins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters, Rose Judkins, Vada Davis, Dimple Hale, Inez Taylor, Imogene Page; one brother, James Judkins.
Buddy was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Short Mountain Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by four children, Kathy Judkins Withers of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Buddy Morris (Vicki Payne) Judkins of Brentwood, Beth Judkins Bouldin of Mcminnville, and Kristi Judkins (William) Walter of LaVergne; seven grandchildren, Anthony White, Christopher Judkins, Nathan (Tara) Cantrell, Brandy Gilley-Ledford, Wilson Gilley, Nathan Burkitt and Leslie Burkitt; seven Great-grandchildren, Cassidy White, Kieran White, T.J. Finoti, Aidan Reed Cantrell, Emery River Cantrell, Aubrey Reign Gilley, and Conner Ledford; wife, Linda Judkins of Smithville; three sisters, Margaret Cripps of Miamisburgh, Ohio, Claudia Bain of Detroit, Michigan, Helen (Carmel) Maxwell of Baxter; two brothers, Doughlas (Peggy) Judkins of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Richard (Patsy) Judkins.
Pallbearers included; Mark Bain, Jeremy Judkins, Bill Walters, Christopher Judkins, Nathan Cantrell, and Wilson Gilley.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
