Funeral services for Johnny Lee Hale, 62, were held Oct. 26 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Interment followed at Poplar Hill Baptist Church in Watertown. Bro. Ben Fuson officiated.

 

He was a member of Poplar Hill Baptist Church in Watertown.

 

He passed away at his home in Smithville, after a long battle with leukemia.

 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Faye Hale; mother, Aubrey Mae Putty Hale; father, Jeffery Hale; brother, Ray Hale.

 

He is survived by the love of his life, Jeannette Hale; five children, Robert Matthew Hale, Jennifer (Jimmy) Smallwood, William (Becky) Hale, Randy (Savanah) Hale, and Jimmy Hale (Turell Tidwell), and 14 grandchildren, John and Gage Hale, Kirkland and Karson Smallwood, Dakota, Boomer, Helen, and S.J. Hale, Julissa, Emma Grace, C.J., and Brentley Hale, and Karaline and Bradyn Hale. He is also survived by two brothers, Lonnie (Barbara) Hale and P.I (Janie) Hale, sister-in-law, Margaret Hale; several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Keith and Mary Lou Bennett.

 

The Hale family would like to thank Avalon Hospice of Cookeville for the help and kindness they received and the loving care given to Mr. Hale during the last four months of his life.

 

In lieu of flowers, the Hale family asked that donations be made to Love-Cantrell Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
