Funeral services for Hassie Mai Smith Osment, 94, of McMinnville, were held April 1 at the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro. Clifford Daniel, Bro. Charlie Stanton and Bro. Steve Osment officiated with burial following in Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery.   
Mrs. Osment passed away March 29 at her home. She was a member of the Short Mountain Church of God and a homemaker. Going to church with her family was her favorite thing to do. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hawley and Mary Walker Smith; husband, Selmer Osment; son-in-law, Robert Wade; daughter-in-law, Linda Osment; granddaughter, Velba Kay Wade; grandson, Jeffery Osment; two brothers, Lloyd Brown Smith and George Smith; and two sisters, Estelee Cope and Bertha Goff.
Survivors include her children, Macon Osment Wade of McMinnville, Bratton (Louellen) Osment of McMinnville, Ernest (Betty) Osment of Woodbury, Joe Dorris Osment of Smithville, Roy (Lela) Osment of Woodbury and Patsy (Peanut) McBride of McMinnville; a brother, Edward (Jean) Patterson of McMinnville; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Woodbury Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
