Self

Helen F. Self, age 86 of Liberty passed away Saturday afternoon at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. 

She was born September 30, 1929 to her parents, the late Lemmie Haskell and Altie Elizabeth Cantrell Turner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 children, Deborah Ogletree and Roy Allen Self; 4 brothers, Frank, Kenneth, Reed and Boyd Turner; 2 sisters, Earlene Johnson and Lena Parsley. 

Helen was a Baptist and a homemaker.  Survivors include 5 children, Brenda Fields of Smithville, Mary Self Robertson of Primm Springs, TN, Jimmy Self of Liberty, Misty (Donny) Green of Dowelltown and Tabby (Patrick) Davis of Smithville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Linda (Willie) Moser of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Funeral services were conducted Monday 2, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Bros. Larry Self and Michael Hale officiated with burial to follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville were in charge of the arrangements.
