Helen Parker Lockhart Trusty, age 96 of Smithville passed away at the Veterans Home in Murfreesboro on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Helen was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her grandchildren immensely.

She was born on August 28, 1927 in Smithville to her parents, the late John and Zona Lockhart.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Trusty; four brothers, Clarence Lockhart, Houston Lockhart, Jewel Lockhart, and Charlie Lockhart; and one sister, Olene Lockhart.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Peggy Trusty of Smithville; two grandsons, David (Trina) Trusty, and Michael (Amanda) Trusty all of Smithville; four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Trusty and Davin Trusty both of Watertown, Kylee Trusty, and Emily Trusty of Smithville; several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service was held on Friday, May 24, 2024 in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Nathan Thomason officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
