Helen Raymond, 89, of Smithville died Wednesday at her residence.

She was a member of the Mt. Hope The Baptist Church and retired owner and operator of Helen's Beauty Shop.

The funeral was held Saturday at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

Garry McBride and Frank Randolph officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Andrew and Belle Jones West; husband, B.L. Raymond; two brothers, Edwin and Myrtis West; five sisters, Margie Jones, Ruth Melton, Frances Pirtle, Lue Redmon, and Vilda Young.

Survivors include a son, Earl Raymond of Smithville. Two grandsons, Brian and Kristin Raymond of Kentucky and Adam and Amy Raymond of Smithville. Three granddaughters, Katherine Little, Allison Collier, and Julia Little. Four great grandchildren, Thomas and Brianna Raymond of Kentucky and Aniston and Alexis Raymond of Smithville. One sister, Jo Ann and Clyde Smithson of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews, special caregivers Carolyn Dyer, Kathy Byford, and Karla Fischbach.

In addition to flowers, please make donations to the Jefferson Cemetery.

Pallbearers; Steve Mertz, Donnie Redmon, Phillip West, Dennis Roller, Keith Redmon, Ricky Young, Bob Adcock, and Bill Barnes.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
