Funeral services for Henry C. Hickey, 79, of Gassaway were held May 14 at the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Bro. Gary Hancock officiated with burial following at Beech Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hickey passed away May 11 at Woodbury Health Care Center. He was retired from Carrier Corporation,  a farmer, and member of the Baptist Church. He loved farming and working his mules.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Alma Carter Hickey and four siblings Charlie Hickey, Johnnie Hickey, Irma Johnson and Geneva Garwood.
Survivors include his wife Georgia M. Ortman Hickey of Gassaway; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Steve Higgins of Woodbury; son Johnny L. Hickey of Gassaway; two grandsons Clint and Brandi Higgins and Devon L. Hickey; two great-grandchildren Kole and Kennedi Higgins; siblings Dorothy (George) Allen of Algood, Arthur (Buna) Hickey of Cookeville, Clara Fox of Gainsboro, Alberta Garwood of Murfreesboro, Sammy (Thelma) Hickey of Smithville, Donnie (Betty) Hickey of Smithville, Annie (Jessie) Flatt of Baxter and Joyce Bird of West Jefferson, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Woodbury Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
