Funeral services for Steven Wayne "Mugs" Herron, 58, of Baxter were held Dec. 2 in the Chapel of Presley Funeral Home. Bro. Stanley Gantt officiated, with burial following in Boiling Springs Cemetery.

He passed away Nov. 29 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

He was born September 19, 1956 in Delaware County, Indiana to the late Talmadge "Bye" Herron and Margie Goff Herron.

He was a logger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Dyer; grandson, Kaden Herron; father-in-law, Ronald Gantt.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Diane Gantt Herron of Baxter; three daughters, Beth (Richard) Nash of Sparta, Rachael (K.C.) Croom, and Ashley Herron all of Cookeville; one granddaughter, Bailey Nash of Sparta; three grandsons, Mason Nash of Sparta, Logan Croom and Elias White of Cookeville; four sisters, Joann (Robert) LaFever of Baxter, Susie (Charles) Simmons of Cookeville, Darlene (Larry) Burch of Smithville, Linda (Jimmy) Maynard of Baxter; mother-in-law, Aline Gantt of Baxter; numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
