Hinkle
Funeral services for Arthur Hinkle, 76, of Tazewell, formerly of Knox County, were held March 18 at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor David Miracle officiated, with burial in the Huston Broughton Cemetery at Roadfork in Knox County.
He passed away March 14 at his home.
He was a son of the late Peter and Nancy Bell Mills Hinkle, born to them on June 23, 1938 at Hammond in Knox County.
Arthur retired from General Motors, and was an adopted member of the Oakdale Baptist Church.
On September 28, 2002, he united in marriage with Betty Jane Presley.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Peter and Nancy Bell Mills Hinkle; his infant brother, Johnny Hinkle; sister, Gracie Hinkle Fortney; brother-in-law, George Fortney.
He is survived by his loving family; his wife, Betty Jane Hinkle of Tazewell; children, Johnny Ray Hinkle, Crystal Kennamer, and Tracy O’Brien and husband, Bill all of McMinnville; four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren; brothers, and sister, William (Mahala) Hinkle, of Flat Lick, Gustie Hinkle of Corbin, and Landon (Linda) Hinkle of Corbin; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives, loving friends to mourn his passing.
Pallbearers; will be family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers were the Arthur’s camping friends and church friends.
