Funeral services for Mary Pearl Hooper, 76, of Smithville were held Oct. 16 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Bro. Royce Martin officiated, with burial following in Bonham Cemetery.

 

She passed away Oct. 12 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

 

She was a former machine operator at Valdor and a Methodist.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Hooper; parents, Robert and Clara Driver Medley; son-in-law, Austin Srickland; brother, Ray Medley.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Strickland, and Natasha Thaxton both of Smithville; two sons, Bobby (Terri) Hooper of Smithville, and Michael (Teresa) Hooper of Tullahoma; four grandchildren, Jimmy Bain of Smithville, Nikki Hooper of Tullahoma, Travis Baisden, and Vanessa Freeman both of Smithville; five great-grandchildren, Kennedy Thaxton, and Karlee Knapp both of Smithville, Kimberleigh, Michael and Chayse Freeman all of Smithville; one brother, Robert (Barb.) Medley of Smithville; sister-in-law, Leona Herman of Smithville.

 

Pallbearers included; Shannon and Tim Patterson, Gary Goff, Roger Linder, Kenny Cubbins, and Joey Moore.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
