Funeral services for Howard Douglas Harness, 63, of Smithville was held April May 1 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dwayne Cornelius officiated, with burial following at DeKalb Cemetery. He passed away April 28 at Centennial Hospital in Nashville.He was the son of the late Thomas and Ella Mae Huckaby Harness.He was a U.S. Army and National Guard Veteran.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; Steven LynnHarness.He s survived by one sister, Patsy Ann Raudenbush of Pennsylvania; five brothers, Thomas Levi Harness of Virgina, Curtis Harness, Kenneth ray Harness, James William Harness all of Smithville, and Gary Wayne Harness of Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.Pallbearers included; Keith Huling, Larry Huling, Nevin Huggins, Bobby Wheeler, Kenneth Gordon, and Larry Gibbs.DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNMay 7, 2014
