Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Hutchins Sr., 66, of Smithville were held Dec. 13 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Grisham officiated burial followed at Whorton Springs Cemetery.

He passed away Dec. 10 at St. Thomas Hospital.

He worked for Yoruzu of Tennessee, and was affiliated with Emmanuel Bread of Life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Louise Hutchins; one sister, Annie Hutchins; one brother, Herbert Hutchins and mother-in-law, Mary Frances Foster.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doretta Hutchins of Smithville; two children, Jerry and Laura Hutchins of Dowelltown, and Jerretta and Terry Certain of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Joel Certain of Knoxville, David Hutchins of Liberty, Katlin and Kristen Hutchins of Dowelltown, and Grace Certain of Murfreesboro; four sisters, Dorothy Baines, Pauline Hutchins, Rita Wall and Mary and Jay Young all of Smithville; one brother, Edward and Janie Hutchins of Smithville.

Pallbearers included; Gary and Michael Bains, Joel and Terry Certain, Tim Cope, and Paul Hutchins.

Honorary Pallbearers; David, Katlin, and Kristen Hutchins, Grace Certain, Charles D. Atnip, Nathan Dowell, Albert Colwell, and Albert Thweatt.
