Funeral services for Jack "Mickey" Malone, 81, of Watertown were held Jan. 3 at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown.

Bro. Denny Shepard officiated, with interment to follow at Hearn Hill Cemetery.

He passed away Dec. 31 at his residence in the Mahone Community.

Born October 26, 1934, he was the son of the late William Roy and Bernice Neal Malone and was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Neal Haley and brother, John Roy "Shorty" Malone.

Mickey was a 1952 graduate of Watertown High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He retired from AVCO Aerostructures after 30 years and was a lifelong farmer. Mickey was a member of the Commerce Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as Secretary-Treasurer and Trustee of Hearn Hill Cemetery for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Myra Parker Malone; daughters, Angie Lannom and husband, Mark and Julie Harrison and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Parker Teague, Jonathan (Bethany), Jacob and Macy Harrison, Chase Lannom all of Watertown; nieces and nephews also survive.

Pallbearers included; Parker Teague, Jonathan and Jacob Harrison, Chase Lannom, Jason and Justin Haley.

Honorary Pallbearers included; Jerry and Tony Pritchett, Bob and Donnie Haley, Jerry Rhodes, Jeremy Redmon, Roy Dale Curtis, Tommy Cripps, Danny Parkerson, Eddie Lawrence, J.R. Malone, Robert Smith, and the Commerce Cumberland Church family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Commerce Cumberland Presbyterian Church or Hearn Hill Cemetery.

Hunter Funeral Home, Watertown was in charge of the arrangements.
