Funeral services for Jack Pugh, 85, of Liberty were held March 25 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Richard Williams and Chris Hall officiated, with burial following at Sycamore Cemetery.He passed away March 23 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville.He was born Oct. 7, 1928 to the late Roy and Bessie Lee Parker Pugh.In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Tommy Pugh; brother, Harold Pugh.Jack was a farmer and a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Pugh of Liberty; two daughters, Jackie (Tim) Cantrell of Smithville and Lori (Chris) Hall of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Kirby, Hunter Pugh, Ben Pugh, Abby Cantrell, Caleb Halle, Wesley Hall, Alayna Hall and Lydia Hall.Pallbearers included; Ben Pugh, Roy Nelson Pugh, Joe Harold Pugh, Hunter Pugh, Brian West and Larry Wise.DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.SMITHVILLE REVIEWSmithville, TNApril 2, 2014
