James Arlin Anderson, 85, of Alexandria passed from this life on July 20, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

He was a welder and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Timothy Anderson and Louella Whitfield; sons, David Wayne Anderson and James Anderson, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice Anderson; children, Debra (Ray) Meadows of Charlotte, Tim (Beverly) Anderson of Smyrna and Robin (David) Ligon of Fairview; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Koudelka of Mt. Juliet.

Funeral service was held Friday, July 24, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home. Bro. Jarrett Randolph and Bro. Dan Molette officiated with burial following in Harpeth Hills Cemetery.

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
