James Aaron Webb, age 87, of the Jefferson Community in Smithville passed away Monday, October 21, 2018 at his home. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Martha Ann Jones Webb and two sisters, Lillie “Jack” Thweatt and Josie Pack.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years Gloria Webb of Smithville; two daughters, Connie and husband David Parsley of Smithville and Donna Hendrix-Cripps of Smithville; four grandchildren, Bruce and wife Leslie Parsley of Smithville, Bridgett and husband Aaron Loyd of Pikeville, Makenzy and husband Caleb Gash of Smithville and Alex and wife Whitney Cripps of Smithville; 10 great grandchildren, Jacob and wife Laura Parsley of Smithville, Courtney and husband Dustin Estes of Smithville, Katherine and husband Josh Hembree of South Carolina, Kristen Parsley of Martin, Connor Rice of Smithville, Samuel, John, and Shayla Loyd all of Pikeville, Britton Gash and Everett James Cripps both of Smithville; one brother, Clarence “Joe” Webb of Smithville. A number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

The funeral will be Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Johnny Adcock will officiate and burial will be in the Jefferson Cemetery.

Bruce Parsley, Alex Cripps, Jacob Parsley, Caleb Gash, Samuel Loyd, and John Aaron Loyd will serve as pallbearers.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, is in charge of the arrangements.
