Mr. James C. "Jim" Fields, 76, of New Hope Road, Alexandria, died Aug. 18 at DeKalb Community Hospital, Smithville.Mr. Fields was born April 7, 1935 in Whitesburg, Ky. the son of Phoebe Adkins Fields and the late Nelson Fields. Three brothers, Delmer, Howard, and Richard Fields preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 until 1974.
