James Jim Sexton, 75

Funeral services for James “Jim” Sexton,75, of Smithville were held Nov. 15, at the chapel of Love-Cantrell  Funeral Home. Bro. Donnie Kelly  officiated.
Mr. Sexton passed away Nov. 12 at DeKalb Community Hospital.
He was a member of Amvets 101, member of The First Assembly of God. He was in the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus for four years where he performed as a clown, did trapeze, tight rope, and globe of death. He also played music professionally for 22 years, which he had a true passion for. He was a self-employed auto body, paint man as well as a very talented carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margie Sexton; two brothers, Arlie and Bill Sexton; one sister, Fonda Ditton.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kay Sexton; one son Kamus and (Cori) Sexton  of Smithville; one daughter, Tania and Jeremy Buck of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Blain and Ethan Sexton of Smithville and Jeren and Tayla buck of Murfreesboro; two brothers, Clarence  (Martie) Sexton and Kenneth Sexton of Indiana; and two sisters, Fay Moore of California and Mallie (Jimmy) Woods of Indiana.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
