James Ronald “Ronnie” Floyd, 69, passed to his rest on July, 30 at Valley View Assisted Living Center in Whitwell, Tn.
Ronnie was born July 6, 1944  to  Marion Hall Floyd and James W. Floyd of Watertown. He grew up in Alexandria and graduated from Liberty High School in 1962. He graduated from Cumberland University in 1964. Ronnie pursued a career in Memphis before becoming involved in various medical missionary ministries, including managing Foods for Life Vegetarian Restaurant and Health Food Store, later named Country Life, in Chattanooga and Country Life Natural foods Wholesale in MI. He later settled in Whitwell, Tn where he spent the remainder of his life.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Hall Floyd and James W. Floyd.
He is survived by his five children; John Clark (Krista) Floyd of Oakland Tn; James Bradley Floyd (Lee) of Olive Branch, MS. , April Floyd Pakula (Tomek) of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Amy Floyd Mills, and Timothy James Floyd of Whitwell, who served as his dad’s faithful advocate and caretaker during the year of his illness preceding his death; the mother of the first two children , Annette Vandergriff Floyd of Liberty; the mother of the remaing children, Dale Wescott, of Manteo, NC; six grandchildren, Brandon and Caleb Rich, Isabella and Mathew Pakula, and Braxton and Bryson Floyd: his aunt and uncle, Olette and Cordell Winfree of Lebanon; and many cousins.
