Martin Funeral services for Janice Elaine Cantrell Martin, 67, of Smithville were held March 20 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Shannon Cantrell officiated with burial following at DeKalb Cemetery. She passed away March 17 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and attended Temple Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late John Lee and Ona Young Cantrell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Nancy Humphreys, Carmine Poss and Nell Fly; six brothers, Jay, Joe, Morgan, Thaniel, Jewel and Prentice Cantrell. She is survived by her husband, Johnnie H. Martin of Smithville; four children, Carrie Hale of Smithville, Brandon Cantrell of Smyrna, Brandy White of Doyle and Vanessa Cunningham of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Elanna Hale, Bonnie Hale, Tyler Hale, Jonathan White, Alyssa White and Layla Cunningham; sisters, Hilda (Floyd) Corley of Tullahoma, Joan Harrelson of Lebanon; brothers, John (Nell) Cantrell of McMinnville, Elmus (Gladys) Cantrell, McClure (Pam) Cantrell, Lewis (Wanda) Cantrell and Doyce Cantrell all of Smithville; brother-in law, Joe Fly of Nashville; sisters-in law, Frances Cantrell of Gallatin and Wilma Cantrell of Smithville. Pallbearers included; Eddie Walker, Chris Adams, Jackie Norton, Bobby Johnson, Anthony Cantrell and Danny Goff. DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
