Janie Hendrixson Oakley, age 83, of the Snow Hill Community in Dowelltown died Wednesday May 14, 2025 at Skyline Medical Center.  

Janie was a woman of deep faith and a fierce love for her family.  She was a caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James (Louise) Hendrixson and sister, Jimmie Davenport.

Survived by son, Michael (Amy) Oakley; brother, Gwynn (Sharon) Hendrixson; granddaughters, Allyson (Tim) Dobbins and Sarah Ashton (BJ) Davis; three great-grandsons, Braxton, Brantlee and Ross; brother-in-law, Clarence Davenport; nieces and nephews, Donna, Diana, Darryl, David, Devin, Dawn, Dana & James Michael.  Janie was preceded in death by her parents, James (Louise) Hendrixson and sister, Jimmie Davenport.

Graveside service and interment was held Tuesday May 20 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens in Smithville, with Bro. Michael Hale officiating.  

Her family served as pallbearers.
