Jaunita Brown Gilbert, age 92, passed away February 06, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Altie Taylor of Indian Creek (DeKalb County, Smithville) and Halls Hill Pike (Rutherford County, Murfreesboro).

 Jaunita was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Smithville and Crossville, TN.

 Jaunita was preceded by three husbands: Jack Loring of Smithville, Frank P. Brown of Crossville and Dean Gilbert of Crossville.  She shared two daughters (Diana and Bobbie) with Jack Loring.  Jaunita was the wife and longtime partner of the late Frank P. Brown where together they grew Brown Insurance Agency. As President of the Insurers of Tennessee, they traveled the country together. As a homemaker, she enjoyed entertaining, gourmet cooking, gardening, and painting at their Peavine Rd residence. Jaunita spent her later years participating in local philanthropy such as contributing land for Frank P. Brown Elementary School. In full retirement, Jaunita spent her final years with her late husband Dean Gilbert. Together they enjoyed entertaining, cooking, and family activities.

 She is survived by her daughters Dianna Cantrell (Zane), and Bobbie Johnson; Grandchildren Greg Cantrell (Fonda) of Brentwood, Sonya King (Phil) of Murfreesboro, Bobbi Dee Brown of Starkville, MS, LuElna Brown and Neil Brown both of Crossville; Great Grandchildren Garrett King, Ashleigh King, Daly Cantrell, and Zane Cantrell III

 Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Crossville or to the charity of your choice.

 Visitation will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with Funeral Services to follow at 1:00 PM with Reverend Jerry Mayo officiating. Graveside services to follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens.
