Funeral services for Bro. Javin Lee Lawson, 52, of Watertown, were held Dec. 20 at Hunter Funeral Home. Bro. Herb Leftwich officiated with burial following in Prosperity Cemetery.
Mr. Lawson passed away Dec. 17 at DeKalb Community Hospital. He was born June 13, 1959 in Detroit, Mich. to the late Lemmie and Ruby Maie Estes Lawson. He was the pastor of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Louise Lawson; and a brother, James Lawson.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Fuston Lawson, of Watertown; sons, Jason (Christy) Lawson, of Mt. Juliet, David (Melissa) Lawson, of Liberty, and Steven (Christmas) Lawson, of Watertown; grandchildren, Avery and Everett Lawson, of Mt. Juliet, and Abigail, Jonathan and Caleb Lawson, of Liberty; sisters, Francis Shultz, of Smithville, Janie Spurlock, of Smithville; brothers, Robert (Betty) Lawson, of Smithville, Jim (Betty Ruth) Lawson, of Smithville, Billy Lawson, of Woodbury, Jerry (Patricia) Lawson, of Smithville, Charlie (Ruth) Lawson, of Smithville, Terry (Evelyn) Lawson, of Watertown, Daniel (Kim) Lawson, of Liberty; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
