Funeral services for J.B. Blankenship Jr., 70, of DeKalb County, were held Jan. 27 at High’s Chapel in McMinnville. Burial services followed at Webb Cemetery at Bluff Springs in Warren County.Mr. Blankenship passed away Jan. 23 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville from an extended illness. He was a retired employee of Century Electric.He was preceded in death by his parents James Bertland and Janie Lee Clendenon Blankenship Sr.; a brother Edwin Blankenship; and a sister Audine Dotson.Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Jim and Jennifer Blankenship of Manchester; daughter Donna Sue Blankenship of McMinnville; four grandchildren Justin Hester of Murfreesboro, Cody Blankenship of Rockvale, Alec Villain of McMinnville and Adain Overall of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law Mamie (Gene) Prater of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.
