Jeanine Cook Caldwell, age 80 of Smithville, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at NHC Healthcare of Smithville. She was retired from Smithville First Baptist Church where she was the former Church Secretary and a member.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Shirley Cook and Hoyte Caldwell; parents, Edward David and Pauline Hudson Nixon; and sister, Paulette Nixon Hernandez.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy and Charlie Parker of Smithville and Jill and Mark McSparren of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Claire Garrett and Katie Parker of Smithville, Annie and Josh Perkins of Sunset, Texas, and Quenton McSparren of Nashville; four great grandchildren, Summer Garrett, Marley Anderson, and Ryland and Nolan Perkins; three sisters, Annette Leivestad and Annessa Nixon of Clarksville, and Anona Williamson of Knoxville. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral service was held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Chad Ramsey, Beth Duke, and Mark Thomas officiate with burial following in Salem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Chuck Nixon, Butch Cook, Josh Love, Andrew Cook, David Dais and Rick Webb.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
