Childress

Mr. Jerry Childress, 73, of Liberty, TN passed away August 20, 2016, at St. Thomas West Hospital.

Born in Sunflower County, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Wesley Frank Childress and Augazelle Robinson Childress.

He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. A salesman for many years, after retirement he worked as a custodian at DeKalb West School in Liberty.

He is survived by wife of thirty-one years, Patricia Baumann Childress; three children, James (Lisa) Childress, John (Twinkle) Childress, and Laura Clark; seven grandchildren, Jonathon, Patrick, Josh, Austin, and Blake Childress, Zach and Taylor Clark; three sisters; Joyce Cole, Carolyn (Charles) Gardner, Joanne (Harold) Crowley.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from the Logon and Bobo Funeral Home. Bro. Josh Childress and Bro. Billy Hale officiated. Interment following in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home, was in charge of the arrangements.
